The Living Now Book Awards recognize what the program calls books for better living, titles chosen for their ability to enrich readers’ lives and promote global sustainability. On October 16, 2022, the awards named Freeing Energy the gold medalist in the Green Living category.
Green Living is a fitting category for the argument the book makes. The case for local energy is not only about carbon, it is about who gets to own and build the systems that generate power, and about how much faster small projects move than large ones.
